Anti-Squeak/Anti-Rattle Felt
Sutherland Felt is a leading supplier of black & white anti-squeak & rattle felt both converters and end users. Our 70,000+ square ft. inventory is one of the largest in North America. Our inventory consists of thin gauge spun bond material (.35mm-.5mm thick) and needle punched polyester ranging from .5mm to 10mm thick. Stock weights range from 100 GSM (3 opsy) to 1628 GSM (48 opsy).
Sutherland can custom mfg. a density and thickness to meet your needs. Minimum order for a custom material depends on total weight, but is generally 2,000 – 4,000 yards.
Anti-Squeak & Rattle felt is normally a thin gauge polyester supplied either in rolls with or without adhesive (PSA) or as cut parts. We can supply this in full width – 54″, 60″, or 72″ wide, or as slit rolls (.5″ wide to 30″ wide).

Special Orders normally require a 3-4 week lead time and a manufacturing minimum. Items designated as in-stock are normally inventoried, but may occasionally be in the process of being produced, thus requiring a 3-4 week lead time.

Polyester felt is a synthetic needle punched felt made from either virgin polyester fibers, or recycled plastics/pop bottles. Material is normally supplied either black or white.
This general purpose felt is made in various densities with thicknesses ranging from .020″ to 2″. Polyester felt is fairly inexpensive, and often made in comparable density and thickness to SAE pressed wool felt. The maximum temperature of polyester felt is 300 degree F., compared to 200 degrees for SAE pressed felts. This material is commonly used for filtration applications, gaskets, wipers, and padding in a wide variety of industries. The density of polyester felt is commonly measured in ounces/per Sq. yard. Sutherland can custom manufacture this material to virtually any density.
